plz help it has to have a reaction like foaming any ideas of what i could use

I think this should be a lot of fun.

I would try setting up a series of experiments where you tried different kinds of mints. You might check the ingredients in Mentos and see if you could find some other candies that have the same ingredients. And I would try several different kinds of soda.

Put the mento in the bottom of a graduated cylinder that you borrow from your teacher. Put the cylinder in a larger pan or bowl. Pour in a certain amount of soda and then measure how much of the soda foams over the top of the cylinder.
I would repeat each different set up about three times and take and average.

It should be interesting to see how the different candies and sodas compare.

Another thing you could try is, grind the mento up so that it is a very fine powder instead of a tablet. Does the form of the mento make any difference.
