We'll be holidaying there from 17 May til 22 May.... any ideas? We're coming from NZ where it is currently averaging highs of 20c (68f) and lows of 11c (52f) and it pretty much rains everyday.

Hot and dry like always. I'm talking 90 degrees and dry as a bone except for the sweat on your body. P.S. Take me back to New Zealand with you. I'm hooked from the commercial last year.

It will be in the 90's but it is a very dry heat with humidity about 15% so you will not really feel that hot unless you are in the direct sunlight. If there is a thundershower it will be rare. All of the hotels and casinos have copious air conditioning going all of the time so you can stay in during the days, except for going to the pool and do most of your walking and sightseeing on the strip in the evening and nights when its cooler. People will be out walking on the strip until 2:00 to 3:00 AM and its really safe out at that time; rarely is there ever any trouble.

Yup... most likely 90 -100 degrees F, dry and full sun.

I find dresses, and skirts with tees or tanks to be most comfortable in that type of weather, and most of my local girlfriends agree. If you'll be wandering outside, eye protection is essential, and you might consider a hat in addition to sunglasses to shade your face. And you should bring a light jacket or sweater for when you're INSIDE because the casinos, restaurants and showrooms keep the ac very cool. Above all, don't forget your most comfortable pair of shoes!

Play safe and have fun!

If you are referring to Las Vegas, end of May is when it usually hits the lower 90's. However we are already hitting that mark early, so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't hit the upper 90's. I wouldn't be to surprised if it hit 100.
