Pregnancy shouldn't hurt, but it can be uncomfortable. I found that eating a good breakfast of a fried egg, spinach, whole wheat toast and an orange every morning seemed to control my morning sickness. And I did a yoga video for pregnancy almost every day, and that really helped with aches and pains.
Childbirth -- oh, boy. But, you know, you get through it. The minute the baby popped out, I was filled with happiness and joy! I felt like dancing down the hall! It was such an incredible feeling, and the memory of the pain fades away to the point where I'd be willing to try again (-:. (My first was emergency c-section, my second vaginal birth -- both scary and have their own bad points, but the important thing is a healthy baby!)
Try not to worry -- make contacts with other mothers who are due about the same time and build up a network. That will help a lot!

I'm sure you've heard all the bromides about how you'll forget the pain once you have your little one. And it's true, but that's not much help right now. Pregnancy can be uncomfortable, but not necessarily painful. You will be eating healthier, etc., which will make you feel better than you probably have most of your life. A real plus for me was my acne cleared up! (and I was 29!) I trained with Lamaze, so labor wasn't even that painful, even tho I had twins I didn't know I was having.
Remain focussed on the baby that is coming, and the pressure on the bladder or the back will be only a minor inconvenience. Keep your appointments with your OB and tell him/her your concerns. You're not the first first-time mother they've treated.

Pregnancy doesn't really hurt, it's the labor that somewhat hurts, but is also well worth the pain. Towards the end of your pregnancy you may go through a stage where you just can't wait to actually have the baby... this is normal don't freak about it. It will become uncomfortable at times, but just think of the baby and how much fun it is to actually have a baby (and don't think about the fact that you no longer get sleep). as far as pregnancy is concerned, it doesn't really hurt and it doesn't really have any "down falls". Congrats on your first.

Pregnancy itself doesn't hurt. There are certain symptoms that some people have and others don't that can be uncomfortable.
For instance, I had severe morning sickness through the first 5 months of my pregnancy. A friend of mine didn't have any.
I also had problems with my blood pressure at the end and had to be put on bed rest. This also doesn't happen to everyone.
Just be sure to get plenty of rest and try to eat as healthy as possible. That will make a huge difference on how you feel!
Congrats to you!

Of course there are some very uncomfortable aspects of pregnancy and yes, labor and delivery do hurt! However, in the end, it is all worth it!
I would recommend getting the book, "What to Expect When You Are Expecting". This book goes into great detail about the aspects of pregnancy, labor, and delivery. It's a wonderful tool for anyone who is pregnant and it answers a lot of questions...
Good luck!

Pregnancy itself does not hurt usually. It is actually very miracualous to feel something growing inside you. Moving around kicking, with hiccups at times. No it doesn't hurt. Labor on the other hand is a different story, it is painful. But i will tell you what, right after you give birth to your mircacle the pain is instantly gone. Good luck and god bless

Pregnancy itself doesn't really hurt...you can get sick and sometimes get cramps and backache in the first couple of months but nothing major. Sometimes you will get very tired until around 12 weeks. Don't worry and see a doctor to talk about your concerns. Best of luck.
