Chris Leak has been one of the best Florida Gators QBs, he brought a national title home and beat many records on Florida. I considered him as one of the top 3 QBs on the Draft... There is gotta be a better reason why he wasnt picked if he is one of the best (please dont say beacuse of his height)...

Unfortunetly much hype is put into the combine and individual workouts. QB's that hadn't played tough opponents, like Chris Leak in the SEC, their entire draft stock was put on their "throwing mechanics" and "workouts" This is the way the NFL works nowadays and it sucks for many good college players who cant make the jump to the next level, and many fast sprinters who don't even start their entire college careers get drafted, Like Chris Henry from Arizona.

I agree! Chris Leak should have been drafted because he lead flordia to a championship. I think he was not drafted because of his height and arm strength. No lie I thought he was as talented as Troy Smith. I think the Bears are lucky to get Leak from free agency signing. He is their future QB.

cleveland should have taken in the 7th round to compete with brady quinn but he wasnt taken im the draft because He seemed to have occasional issues reading defenses, and as a result, he often appears more satisfied to take a check down than a receiver with single coverage down the seam. This may be a result of how many offenses he's learned in a short time, but it is concerning. Interceptions were a concern early in his collegiate career, with a combined 23 picks in his freshman and sophomore seasons.

Leak may be one of the best Gator QB's ever, that doesn't make him a good QB. Gator QB's haven't set the NFL on fire. Ok, I won't say it's because of his height, it's because he sucks.

Hey it's all good. He was not an NFL prospect caliber type. He has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears. I really think it doesn't matter if he's drafted or not. Hey it's time for him to prove everyone wrong!

dude, it is because of his height. he asnt even 6 feet tall. i belive ur prolly only saying this because you are a gators fan, right? he is too short to see over the o-line, wouldnt you think thats a bit of a problem.

SIMPLE ANSWER: I know that NFL scouts are much more qualified to determine a players potential than you are. Leak doesn't have any NFL potential.

the bears picked him up as a free agent, and sadly because of his height and his arm isnt very strong
