hello, about 3 days ago, i noticed blood in the toilet, and i wiped, and some normal red colored blood appeared on the tissue, which was weird.

I dont feel any pain whatsoever and the blood is not in large quantaties, this has never happened before, what could be wrong, is it severe? will it go away?

If it's mostly just on the paper, it's probably hemorrhoids or a minor anal fissure. But if it turns the water pink, get to a doctor right away. The bleeding from ulcerative colitis (a very serious disease) is usually bright red, but it will be profuse enough that the water will be quite pink. There may or may not be pain in the early stages. It needs prompt treatment. But just a smear on the paper is usually nothing to be concerned about, as long as it goes away after a few days and there is no pain.

Hi there sorry for your troubles. Bright red blood is fresh blood and probably is coming from internal hemorrhoids. That is why you may not be experiencing pain. You need to change your eating habits that will work in the long run. Fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, beans, 1500cc water a day. Daily exercise will help move things along better. Use Dulcolax or Colace to soften your stool now. Use Metamucil for two weeks to bulk up and soften the stool. Metamucil works but will take time That is why you need to use Colace also for faster relief.. As your stool is easier to pass, the internal hemorrhoid should heal itself. If after 4 weeks, your bleeding does not resolve or if it worsens prior to that time, see your doctor. If you are 50 or older, get a colonoscopy to rule out cancer. Things should work out well. Use your good judgment and you will get better. Have a nice week.

Bright or "frank" red blood is indicative of a source that is close to your anal opening- usually a hemoid- either external (you'd know about it) or internal- just inside the anus, and you might not know it's there.
If it doesnt happen again- no worries...mention it to the doc next tiim e you go in.

go to the doctor. they may require you to get stool samples (sometimes they ask for 3) and test them. It could just be you passed a hard stool or maybe were constipated.

i work in a lab, you should not have any blood in your stool, but if it is bright red, it may just be a small cut or something

If you have blood in your stools, then you may have a cut or hemrroids. If there is a large majority of blood, please, contact a doctor, because you may have bladder problems.
