There is usually a stitch length wheel down by where the needle is. if you take it way above 5, it will be in stretch mode.

The machine has 22 stitches built in (no cams to lose). the manual will also include all of the oiling points needed for normal maintenance.

I can't figure out how just by looking at a picture of it. Some of the stitches are intended for stretch applications.
