Yeah, during WWII, a lot of stuff happend. The worst part of the Holocaust occured. The Battle of Britain saw that the RAF was far better than the Luftwaffe. Soviets & Democracies got a long great. There were concentration of people, pow's all over the place. Alaskan Allutian islands were invaded. Napalm was invented. The A-Bomb was invented, than dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Pearl Harbour, a US navy bas was bombed. The German Nazis had put surveillance weather stations in Greenland. El Alamain saw very few British troops led by Montgomery win over The Desert Fox Rommel. General Patton Charged in through Europe to save the troops fighting in the battle of the Bulge. General Macarthar returned to help liberate the Bataan Prisoners in the Phillipinnes. The League of Nations disbanded. Hitler committed suicide. Kursk, a Soviet-Nazi battle, was the largest tank battle in world history. Stalingrad, saw the first step in pushing back the Nazi incursion in Russia. D-Day, June 4, 1944, saw a combination of Allies of The USA and UK & Canada go into Normandy, France to liberate the people of Fortress Europa. Huisseni, an Iraqi and great uncle of Saddam Huissein helped found the SchlutStaffe or Nazi SS, famed for thier evils against the Jewish people. The end, etc............

I would suggest that you narrow your field of inquiry. The war started in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland and ended with the "D" Day invasion at Normandy and the ultimate surrender of Germany on May 7, 1945.

it depends on which campaign you are asking about as there were many different war campaigns going on and several different battle theaters in the pacific.
