cause you see kids, what 8 walking around talking to their friends on their cell phone at the store. I have even seen a 7 year old texting her friend. I think the perfect age to have a cell phone is 13.9

Personally I think you need to be of a responsible age to have a cell phone. And some kids are responsible at 13. My niece's dad got her a cell phone and she downloaded 14 games and signed up for a joke a day stuff. We found out and she'd run up quite a phone bill for her dad, my niece is 11. I said she wasn't old enough and has no concept of money but he got her the phone anyway. I think it depends on the individual and their parents. I don't think the phone should be given free it should have strings attached.

Well you should have a cell by age 13. Any one under 13 just wants to look cool

I would sat 15 and up, because even at 8 to13 they are not watching whats going on around them, and maybe who gould be watching what they are doing, and they dont seem to listen in classes as well they are to busy with their friends, Dont drive on talk on cell phones!

Yes...depends on the age and the guardians. Too young might not understand responsibility in having one and might be bad for their hearing. Above 12 years old is ok, a better age

depends on where the kid lives, if their parents work and they depend on the phone to keep contact with their child, transportation to and from school....there are alot of factors. Kids today usually have a phone by middle school. If they abuse the phone by running up minutes and texting...then take it away. Okay...answer to question11-12

I think it depends on the necessity...many single parents count on the cell phone to be their only connection to their children while there at work...but I understand what your saying..it is getting ridiculous

when you are old enough to be able to get a job and pay the cell phone bill YOURSELF! And responsible enough to be able to understand that if you go over on you minutes that it is the user, NOT the parent who has to tough it up and pay the bills.
