the democrats knew the bill would get vetoed, and they should have passed a bill that bush would actually sign to get the troops much needed funding. instead of trying to change 200 year old checks and balances, liberals should pass bills that they know the president will sign so they can get the troops the funding to help the troops, rather than a bill they know will die so when elections come around they'll look like they are doing something to the average ignorant democrat voter
and there is a mechanism, they need a two thrids vote which isnt going to happen, the bil only passed something like 51-46 in the senate

It would be a great display of stupidity. Do you realize what would happen if we pulled out? You may even have to think long term, when Dems in Congress are having a hard time doing. What would happen? Who would take over? You have to think man! Think! Dont just buy into whatever Obama or Hillary sells you. They are playing partisan politics, which means they are taking care of the party first, and America second.
