Either Bush is a complete moron and screwed up big time and doesn't know how to get out of it or he's a terrorist in disguise who plans on destroying America by making Iraq so mad they bomb us.Yeah I think the 1st one too. There isn't even a reason for the war which makes me even more angry.Apparently he has some master plan we don't know about since he won't let any of the soldiers out of the war.The war will probably end years from now.Just guessing!Hopefully the congressmen will realize that this man is not a appropriate president and take charge. We can only hope so we can spare the unnecessary deaths in Iraq.Look it's just my opinion so don't start all angry. You have your thoughts,I have mine.

Its simple if you just think about the whole scenario. Iraq is a key strategic country right smak daub in the middle of the terrorists den. Its surrounded by Sundan and Iran the two biggest terrorist supporting nations on the planet. To have Iraq is to be in the most perfect strategic position to wipe out the sponsors of terror in a moments notice. If you've been paying attention, even the left wing media is telling you whats happening. Syria and especially Iran are helping the insurgents with training, personnel, weapons and fuel. Everything they need to keep America and her allys from winning that strategic country. It can be done and its not going to be easy. All decisions have not been perfect, no wars are. I think the administrations biggest mistake was to try to kowtow to the civil rights morons and the hunaitarians and such and attempt to fight a kinder gentler war. They were not allowing the soldiers to go into hospitals, schools and religious buildings. Guess where the insurgents and radicals like Al Sadr hid, and stashed all of their supplies. DUH, in schools, hospitals, and mosques. The military should have been given a no holds barred order to go and do what needed to be done and wipe out the enimie in any and all places they could find them. Now because we tried to appease the liberal crybabies yet again, we have an even bigger problem, and its going to cost more time and lives to resolve. Bush will to what ever it takes and continue as long as it takes to get the darn job done or we've wasted our time and the lives of many good soldiers. So be it.

There weren't any of the weapons supposed to be destroyed. Osama Bin Laden is still free. Iraq was invaded looking for oil. Surely few people are making fortunes. And American citizens are paying, even with their life. Perhaps, ambition impeded foresee the trouble America was getting in to. But, what's done is done. Now America must prevent the way to go out with the less harm possible. If American troops leave Iraq as they went into, without prevention, America may have to confront severe damages.

Bush doesn't have a mind. The reason he wanted to go to war is/was... his daddy also failed in his quest for more oil. So 'ol GW decided that he'd spend billions of American dollars to accomplish what his daddy didn't get done.
He also thinks that if the US government gets Iraq and Afghanistan mad at us, they will cut off the foreign oil to the States. When that happens, then we will have to depend on oil from Texas and the Gulf of Mexico. Guess who owns the oil wells in Texas.....
The USA needs to impeach 'ol Bush, and get him out of there NOW, before he totally destroys our country, and causes us to go bankrupt.
He is spending billions of dollars to help rebuild the damage we did, when we bombed the heck out of them. Why should we have to pay for that,??? I say, "Bomb them and leave them". Bush doesn't care about life or property, and a example is.....look at all those poor little children that had to die, because Bush said so. Impeach Bush and Cheney now.

We removed a tyrannical killer from the leadership of a country. The void attracted many trying to wrest control over the vulnerable people of Iraq. Our responsibility for removing Saddam Hussein is to try to maintain order while the democratic regime gets its legs.

Unlike the imaginary and magical world of entertainment, the real world shows that something of this order doesn't happen overnight. There will be more pain and suffering brought on by evil-mongers like the last one that was in power.

This would be much more effective if our military resources weren't limited by downsizing in the 90's, the War on Terror in Afghanistan, and all of our "allies" that are standing on the sidelines watching it all go down. (Thank you Britain)

Bush is overly sympathetic to illegal immigrants, he wants to suck them in and then draft them.

Regardless, it is still cheaper to fight the terrorists there than inside USA. Everybody including you and I knew that by deposing Saddam a Sunni and installing Shias that there will be a civil war. Then why did he do it? To destabilize the whole area. . . the entire Middle East to fight amongst themselves. Realize they have always been doing that, so here is the opportunity to let them destroy one another.
Who is next? Iran and Syria will be in it too, very soon.

Obviously, he doesn't want to leave Office having everybody thinking he was a dumb***

although i think it's already too late for that...

but for those extreme conservatives that still have hope....

he obviously wants to keep us in iraq for a while to make it look like we're actually making a difference *WHEN WE'RE ACTUALLY JUST SPENDING MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR NOTHING..MAY I REMIND YOU THAT THAT IS OUR MONEY AS WELL...just in case you fogot....*

so he wants the troops to leave just around the same time that he leaves Office...

also...a little idea of mine...

Since America (the government) had an idea about 9/11...couldn't they have an idea about where Osama may be hiding? Could Bush surprisingly be smart enough to "find him" two-three months before he leaves Office?

He's a deer in the headlights, frozen in place. The problem is actually very common-- why is it so hard to shut down a failing company? Because the losses are small each month, versus the prospect of a huge loss when the decision is reached.

So people persist in losing strategies, hoping to "get even" or at least, avoid recognizing their loss. Its like the investor with a bunch of stocks which have gone down-- and they say to themselves "I have to get even"

In Bush's case, we have true strategic astigmatism: He went to war for reasons which were wrong. Having occupied Iraq, he now argues that we must be in Iraq to deal with the problems that proceed from our presence-- its a tautology.

Politically, I think he's "punting" hoping to keep Iraq together long enough that it falls apart on someone else's watch.

Bush knows the problem will end up with the next president. By keeping things going and not backing down He can blame the successor for what happens in the end. It is sad that this country can not find a good solution to the Iraq mess without backing out. Instead of wasting time in Iraq we should eliminate Iran and Syrian intervention. Not by putting boots on the ground but by letting them know the next time we find anything made in either country they will lose something they value very much.
