Sigiriya should have been named one of the Wonders of the World, long ago, and now there is a proposal to name it as the Eighth Wonder of the Ancient world. Better late than never!

The Eighth Wonder of the World was built in 1965.

It is the Harris County Domed Stadium, a/k/a The Astrodome.

There isn't an 8th wonder of the world. They are proposing there be 7 new wonders of the world, that will be decided on 7/7/07

I don't know, but my vote goes for John Cleese. I think it would be a good thing to have just one of the Wonders able to travel the world, get to people that might never get to see one otherwise, and a Wonder that could sign autographs would be pretty neat.
