You can erase your address bar history by flushing out your Autocomplete files. However, the direction may be different depending on your web browser. Here they are in firefox and internet explorer
Deleting Internet Explorer's entire History listHere's how to delete Internet Explorer's entire History list:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
3. Click the "Clear History" button.
Clear Clear Address Bar History in Firefox Manually
Deleting Firefox's entire History list
1. Open "Firefox" web browser.
2. Choose "Internet Options" from the Tools.
3. Click the "Privacy" button
4. "Clear History".
Firefox immediately "forgets" the sites and pages you've visited
If you want to set your browser to automatically forget your history, you can. Also if you concerned about your download history you may have to take a few extra steps to erase it. Hope this helps!

Look in your computer's help menu for delete/erase web address history or something like that and do what it says. It's faster than deleting each one separately. I do it once a month, but if you know you are going back to certain sites. it may make it easier on you to put them in the favorites folder, if they aren;t already there,so you can click there later & you don't have to retype it once the history is clean.
Here's what HELPsays on my machine:
To delete all browsing history
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Delete Browsing History.
Click Delete all, and then click Yes.
To delete a specific category of browsing history
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Delete Browsing History.
Click the Delete button next to the category of information you want to delete, click Yes, and then click Close.

Click on the little arrow at the right of the search/address box. A list of things should appear. Move the cursor over the top item, but don't click on it. Now press your Delete key. The top item should disappear. Keep hitting Delete, and the whole list will vanish, one by one.

once you've typed in a letter or 2 and the record seems with the different contacts (starting up similar letter), you could pick one from that record (in case you pick) with the help of purely clicking on that distinct contact. It is going onto the TO line and the others disappear. you could also purely keep typing and once you've entered an finished (stunning) address----- the record is going away.

You could go to (on internet explorer) Tools>Delete Browsing History>Delete History. However...this will delete ALL ITEMS on the list of sites you've visited...but it will NOT delete your favorites so you should be okay using that.
