You can solve this using algebra.

b/6 = c/2

b/6 (x2) = c/2 (x2) :Multiply both sides by 2

b/3= c

b/3 (x3) = c (x3) :Multiply both sides by 3

b= 3c

Divide both sides by c to get b/c= 3.
