Not exactly, but I used to have this married couple as friends that, no kidding, must have had an argument on the way to every social event we ever attended together! Things would be Really Tense for awhile, then the wife would start telling us the problem WITH THE HUSBAND SITTING THERE. I mean, show some class, lady, at least whisper it to me when we are in the kitchen. Anyway, the only reason I actually remember for one of their arguments was, the 'check engine' light came on in their car on the way over, so they pulled over and opened the hood to check it, and the husband fixed some little something, and the wife then closed the hood. Unfortunately he had taken his glasses off and laid them on the engine, so she crushed them when she closed the hood. And he got really mad about that and they had a big fight. Go figure.

Yup. I've even been there when the really bad argument started and was out of there faster than the glass that went sailing through the air.

yeah - what's worse for me is when someone comes over and interrupts an argument I am having :S... so awkward

Yes very awkward and then have the fight continue with a few snide remarks while you are there. Can't get out of there fast enough

Yes,I wanted to leave straight away but I ended up staying for 3 hours being their mediator.

Yes, and there is this awkward silence and no one is acting normal. Then you say okay well I'll see you later because you feel uncomfortable.
