Met a preacher going door to door w/ some kids, inviting people to a new church opening up down the road, and he was driving a new 7 series BMW.

God's word pays well I guess.

It just seems to be " organized begging". Using "faith" to seduce people into thinking that providing the "man of the cloth" w/ material possessions puts them in good standing with the God.

Would you feel better if your spiritual leader was pushing a 15 year Olds up the block? What kind of testimony is that for living by the Word? I have no problem with clergy driving a nice car and if you read the Bible, you'll see God doesn't either. He wants us to be prosperous ... especially considering that He also wants us to give 10% of our income to further His Word. Ten percent of a pittance isn't going to get you very far.

I am an automobile salesman and I have personally sold to a $40000 Infiniti to a priest.
We the people of the church are paying for this thru our donations. It is a shame but needs to be proven that the churches donations pay for it.

It kind of makes me wonder about all the T.V. Evangelists, asking me to send God money, (why does god need money) and they want me to send this money to god in care of their address. My grandma used to send them large amounts of money while she lived a dirt poor existence and all they ever did for her was to sent her a little pamphlet telling her how she could be a better person by sending god more money, at their address again. That is what makes me angry.

I don't get mad at all. People have been shelling cash out of their wallets in an attempt to pay off the Second Estate for centuries. It's easier to pay good than do good.

No, and why should anyone get mad. I do get upset when I see a big basket of groceries bought with food stamps, and see them get into a BMW. Welfare pays very well also.

How do you know it was his car? Was it a gift? Was it lent to him by a dealer for free advertisement? Did a former pimp give it to him? I am not one to condone excesses by men or women of God, especially when God says "Whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto me." However, Matthew 7: 1, says "Judge not lest you yourself be judged."
