I don't mean in 2009, I mean right now, what if republicans weren't so stupid and elected him instead of Bush, what would our country be like?

Don't you think his new stance on the issues is a political gamble to attract the "stupid vote" in the primaries. He needs this group to win.

I don't know, but he is an Iraq war monger and this will prevent him from being elected.

Not much of a difference . McCain is a hypocrite with most things always changes his mind back and forth. As for Bush well he does the same things just that he is stupid which makes it a little bit ok. They both are puppets for big money and those who control them in congress.

Six months ago I would have said "much better off" but given his almost complete metamorphosis into Bush the past few months I'm not so sure.

He is faster on the draw than Bush. And had no friends in Saudi Arabia.
