We already have adequate grounds to do so based upon his authorization of warrantless domestic surveillance of US citizens, which violates FISA.

Who cares how bad Cheney would be? People already hate him anyway, he'd be worthless.

You have to know what the statutory provisions of FISA are before you can conclude that FISA hasn't been violated. Try reading the statute.

The point is we have to set a standard for future Presidents, that they know they must respect the rule of law.

Plus it would weaken Bush even more, possibly to the point where Congress would be emboldened to flat out override him on Iraq.

As a perfect manifestation of just how dis-functional and morally/ethically crippled Americans are is the simple FACT that lying about sex is deemed a HIGH CRIME and Misdemeanor while starting an ILLEGAL war based upon a pack of filthy lies that has led to the slaughter of over 3,000 American military plus HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of INNOCENT Iraqi meen women and children and is considered by many as a Crime Against Humanity, is NOT grounds for Impeachment.

I believe GOD is waiting to have a chat with all these murderous lying war mongers that have slaughtered his creations.

the concern has been referred to a lot throughout the time of the previous few years. previous to January 2007, it wasn't going to take place, there became into no way that the homestead became into going to start impeachment complaints for something wanting an overt act of treason. The Congress is now interior the administration of the Democrats, and that they could, in the event that they needed initiate impeachment complaints, and the charges could desire to be something they choose them to be, through fact the form does not particularly define what an impeachable offense is, different than treason. They be responsive to that in the event that they attempt and impeach the President and charge him with something yet a genuine crime, they're going to stand to lose seats interior the subsequent election. they additionally be responsive to that whether they pass the articles of impeachment, the President would be acquitted by using the Senate till they are in a position to capture him in an overt action of treason that meets the factors set forth interior the form.

Oh please...

Yes - Bush is impeachable... who cares?

If the Democrats that I voted for spent all their time playing one upsmanship with Bush, then they would not get anything done that I am relying on them to do...

While you are watching the Court Jester, there are some pretty major decisions taking place in your local community... I hope you wake up and get involved.

Just look at what wonderful things happened as a result of that sorry little impeachment on Clinton... this is what we get for letting politics get so petty... why would you want to do the same thing over again with Bush?

(To the answerer below (gunsling) - It was an entirely different Congress that passed the "PatRIOT act"... this congress would never go for that crap...)

Are you talking about the Patriot Act which was approved by the house and the senate? In case you forgot there are Liberals in the house and congress. Also, another reminder, just as the first person pointed out the libs have control over the house and senate so if there are any grounds for impeachment don't you think they would have tried already. Do some research.

Not many more, but the Democratic party wants to keep the Bush administration and republican party incompetence and corruption on the front page so that the GOP will be decimated in the 2008 elections.

Why don't people realize that these "warrantless domestic surveillance of US citiziens" was pass by congress when they passed the PATRIOT act. It isn't illegal. Just because you don't like Bush doesn't mean you can impeach him. Truman had an 18% approval rating when he left office, nobody tried to impeach him.

You should be the one reading about FISA!!! It was AMENDED!!!! in 2001 by the PATRIOT ACT!!!

Your hatred alone is not enough to impeach someone. If you lived in NYC and had friends killed by terrorists like I did you probably would want terrorists hunted down. FISA has not been violated. Nice try though.

Bush being impeached will never happen because the " real " people in power who elected Bush control the courts and I'm not talking about the American people .

What's the point? I mean, really....Clinton proved that impeachment is a joke - why waste the money?

ndg - FFS! It wasn't the sex - it was the PERJURY. Do I need to type that slower so you can keep up?!? NO ONE CARES WHO HE SLEPT WITH!

But we should *all* care that he lied UNDER OATH.

Amazing.

This questioner has a right to his/her own opinion. And I agree. The Bush administration has done many deceitful things. They are also consummate liars. As time moves forward I would offer that more and more conservatives are going to take the same position to save their own political butts!!
and it WILL happen.
What we know so far is only the tip of the iceburg.
Murder will out.
It always does.
