yea it is. There may have been a question abotu Al'Queda before but they are definitely in Iraq now.
They shouldnt have been. This surge should have been right away, they should have deposed saddam, closed the borders let the military and Iraqi military and police weed out the dissidents and prevented the bulk of insurgents.
But thats not the way it happened.

But yea I think Pelosi and Reid's comments there show they are just being political. And looking stupid doing it.

If we keep ourselves apprised of the terrorist attacks around the world, A.Q. claims responsibility. It is no surprise that they are in every country. If you remember there were arrest of those in Washington State that were running a training camp for Al Qaeda. Soon after 9-11 and the C.I.A., F.B.I. law that prohibited them from exchanging information was repealed, the press carried the stories of the sleeper cells that are in America. I believe Congress is well aware and some there are using it for political expediency.
