Am I just acting spoiled?

Question

i hope my mom never sees this but she bought me like two shirts that makes me look abcolutely fat and ugly and I was just saying oh its cute not to hurt her feelings because she has that sour look on her face sometimes.I hate it so much I wanna throw it away.am i just acting spoiled.I want shirts that show skin like off the shoulders,tube tops,

because were going to my home counrty and its like over 100 degrees

Don't tell your mom the truth, instead, take the skirt to school (to make your mom happy) and then when you get to school, go to the bathroom and change your clothes (like that people are not gonna see you with that skirt). And then before you go home change clothes and put that skirt, because latter your mom is gonna see that you wear it, and she'll stay happy. This always works.

or... if you prefer...

Tell her that the skirt is too pretty for you, and that if you use it people are gonna be jealous and try to steal it. (I know this looks stupid, but it may work).

or....

Tell her the truth, sometimes being honest is what you should do, even though it may hurt her feelings.

As a mother, I know that sometimes it's hard to please your children. Just go to her and ask her if you can talk to her for a minute. Tell her how special it was to you that she thought of you to buy you some shirts, but they aren't really your style right now. Tell her the last thing you want to do is offend her, so maybe you two can go shopping together sometime and you can show her what you like and she can show you what she likes (for mothers day or Christmas). I bet the shirts look great on you, and remember you don't always have to show skin to be beautiful. It's what's left to the imagination that is the most beautiful! Good luck!

just tell her the truth and be sure to tell her that you are not trying to hurt her feelings but you don't really like the way you look in these shirts. Maybe you and her can exchange them together so you get some mother daughter time and you get the shirts that fit your style!!good luck and remember to whatever you do tell your mother thank you b/c she tried!!!

Honestly, yeah you sound a little spoiled to me. My Mom bought me plenty of stuff I didnt want to wear, believe me..but I wore it anyway to make HER happy and to make HER feel appreciated. If you dont want to wear the shirts out, at least wear them around the house. By the way, there's nothing wrong with covering yourself up once in a while.

Keep them and wear them when she needs to feel extra good about herself. Also, try to act like you like them. If they are that hideous, you can always bring a spare shirt to change into if you are off to school or with friends.
