Any time theres a domestic disaster Bush is the last to care. From Katrina to his feelings on helping farmers in need. I think this guy just takes the children and sends them to die for his imperialistic desires.
Separately, Bush has complained about several billion dollars in domestic spending that Democrats put in the bill, including about $3.5 billion in disaster aid for farmers.
Maybe by doing this he can cripple their food supply since we do feed much of the world.

So the crippled food might be for the crippled Vets.

Bush's problem was not with the farm aid. He said that many of the pork programs included in the bill were worthwhile projects but they did not belong in a supplemental military spending bill. If they want to write a bill simply for the farm aid, Bush would probably sign it.
