I think this idea is baseless nonsense and pure fear-mongering propaganda.

Propagating war and hatred makes terrorism more likely here. This seems obvious to me. Does Bush think we are stupid?

What evidence do we have that the terrorists in Iraq would come to the US if they were not working there? They probably wouldn't be terrorists if we hadn't have bombed their families houses or arrested their brothers.

Well, lets look at something that a few military personnel have pointed out to me.
The majority of the terrorists are currently occupied in Iraq and Afgahnistan. So we are fighting them on their territory instead of ours, so we are keeping America safe that way. Now there are still terror cells lingering here in the U.S. don't get me wrong, and they have threatened more attacks, but with the majority of the terrorists previously occupied there won't be as many possible attacks here in the U.S. Now my husband is currently deployed to Iraq so I'm not sitting here willy nilly not caring for our soldiers lives, I want them all to come home, but would like to do it in a way that keeps America safe.

War in Iraq does not prevent terrorism here. It does however, increase terrorism there.
Generals in Iraq are outraged that the President has vetoed the pull out bill. Talk about not listening to Generals on the ground huh?
This war, has increased profits for contractor companies owned by the friends of the administration. About 500 billions dollars worth.

I believe the basis is,
We know there are foreign( non Iraqi ) al-quaida members in Iraq now.
Yes, I know they weren't there before the invasion.
That by fighting them in Iraq,
Means they cannot plan and carryout attacks inside America like on 9/11.
IE:
They are fighting in Iraq, instead of planning future attacks against America while in some other country.
.
Of course, we could say the same thing about Afghanistan if we had never went into Iraq.

In the short term it forces terrorists to use their available resources to engage in the immediate threat to them which is Western control of a Middle Eastern nation. In the long term, and with over 1,000 innocent Iraqis dying every month, it will only serve to increase their strength as more and more Muslim supporters sign up with terrorist groups to seek revenge for this injustice.
Unless you are prepared to engage in perpetual conflict in the Middle East, in the same manner as in George Orwell's novel 1984, the terrorists will eventually bring the conflict to the United States and their allies.

It doesn't .
the terrorist are still active and planning ...we just slowing them up a little.
It would be better for us to withdraw all troops world wide and refuse to the worlds police man.
When they do hit here we can take out the ones we catch here and any collateral civilian deaths can be assuaged with a few million dolor's ala WTC 1&2 to the surviving family members.
It would be cheaper than trying to chase them down in their neighorhoods

That's another faith-based assertion. When you have no evidence, or any reason to suppose that what you believe is true, you have to rely on faith. Religion in politics may or may not be a bad thing, but politics _as_ religion is definitely a bad thing.

It doesn't.
It actually makes it much more likely.
State Department terrorism figures came out yesterday.
Fifty percent increase over last year, which was a fifty percent increase over the previous year.
Doin' a heckuva job. Bushie!!

That is the current administrations misguided way of justifying the war. It does more to create terror that quell it.
