just a stereotype
so nonasians have something to laugh at, like all other stereotypes
there have been claims of statistics, but not that i've ever seen anyone cite them on yahoo, and if they are out there, i wonder how scientific they are
for example, regarding the commenter above, i'm gonna give her the benefit of a doubt she's correct... however, even if asians are the majority/plurality, is the accident-prone segment all asian in these communities? a few asian towns is possibly too small a sample, versus a nation that is predominately western... there are other questionable points, but whether you want to believe it or not, its some things to think about, in the spirit of non-racism and objectivity

I'm bracing myself for lots of thumbs down here, but YES!
(asians as in "asians" not asians as in "indian asians" for those of you in the UK.)
I live in an area which has a mainly asian population.
This small area has the highest road toll (deaths) in the state.
The second highest road toll is in another suburb which also has a predominantly asian population.
Coincidence?
I doubt it.
(no, i'm not being racist, i'm being observant) but due to the nature of their eyes, asians have a lot of vision problems, this obviously also includes depth perception, which makes them dangerous on the roads.
.......and having a bunch of unrestrained kids flopping about their cars while they yabber on the telephone drinking their happy cups doesn't help much either.

People that say that normally live in an area where the majority of the population are Asians. If you live in Africa 100% of accidents are caused by Africans. If you live in Mexico, 100% of accidents are caused by Mexicans. Get the picture?

No, it's a sterotype about Asians. There are bad and good drivers from all races.

you can't make a generalization that ALL asian people are bad drivers. im sure some people of each race are bad at driving..don't clump everyone into one group
