I've been working at a business my neighbors own for a year now. My neighbors are really shady people. I can't stand them any longer and I've been very stressed out, depressed and unhappy, but I haven't quit because I need the money. It's not great pay but it's something. I've been on the edge for a while now and everyday I want to quit. I've been looking for a job but no luck. I have to pay for my phone and internet. Should I just quit and figure it out later or should I stay unhappy until I find another job?

I worked at a place for 9 years and was making damned good money, but the stress was killing me. I was at the point of going postal when I finally said to hell with it and quit.

Financially, it hurt badly, and I still don't make as much money now as I did 8 years ago. But every time I meet someone who works there I offer condolences and wish them an early escape. I'd eat a bullet before I went back to that place.

You need to get out before you succumb to dispair.

It depends on how bad you need the money. How easy will it be for you to find another job? If you feel that it will be difficult stay until you've secured another position.

Stay where you are and continue looking for job opportunities else where. You know for the fact that jobs isn't easy to comeby and bills will still need to be paid.
