Hey ppl... I didn't say Iraq wants or has the ability to destroy Israel and the U.S.

But if America leaves prematurely, Iran and/or Syria will occupy the vacuum. They will control Iraq's oil fields, and Iraq's wealth.

Please ppl, use the brains God gave you.

Republicans want Freedom in Iraq, and everywhere.
Democrats want the insurgents & terrorists to defeat us so they can install a Socialist/Communist Nation, here in the USA.
It's all about Money & Power.

First of all, people in Iraq have not wanted to destroy Israel nor the US.
Second, Iraq is where democracy was invented. Look up the fall of the Medo-Persian empire.
Third, America has spent hundreds of billions of dollars on war in Iraq only to lne the pockets of those contracting companies while our troops suffer. Bush just vetoed a bill to fund the troops and pull them out.
Our troops have suffered enough. In the current state of things and the increasing atrocities, there will be no end to this war. How do you win against someone who believes they are dead already? Do you kill them all? That is genocide.
Get our troops out. Fix our own home.

Iraq is about the size of California. There is less than 20 million citizens in Iraq. Most of them are women, children, and old people. How in the blue perfecthell can 200,000 people destroy Israel and the U.S.? They have no navy, no air force, a less than bad military. They cannot destroy Israel. They sure ashell cannot destroy the U.S., a nation of 300 million. You feal free to join the military and go there and die for George.

I would love to see democracy in Iraq, but it's not achievable. We're talking about a bunch of people who think that an invisible man is telling them to kill each other. I believe there are many good people in Iraq, but to accomplish democracy it would take at least another 20 years, and if this country is not ready to reinstate the draft and sacrifice more, there is no chance of success.

No matter how frustrating the fight in Iraq can be, no matter how much we wish the war was over, the security of our country depends directly on the outcome of Iraq. The price of giving up there would be paid in American lives for years to come. ... Success in Iraq would bring something powerful and new -- a democracy at the heart of the Middle East, a nation that fights terrorists instead of harboring them, and a powerful example for others of the power of liberty to overcome an ideology of hate.

Sebastian is pro-Iraqi. But that does not give him license to misstate facts.

In the first Iraq war, the Iraqis fired surface-to-surface missiles at Israel. That was nothing other than their attempt to destroy Israel.

That role has been passed over to Iran and its proxies: Hisb'Allah and Syria.

They must be stopped.
