since they know its a bad thing to say and what the word represents
like rap songs and teens
if a white person said it they would probably beat that person up but they say it all the time themselves
and not just African-Americans say it Hispanic-Americans say it and Asian-Americans and even some European-Americans
the only difference is with an a instead of a er
its still the same thing

Black people use the "N" word so often for two reasons.
1. It is a common brand and an identity for a racial group that doesn't have much of a culture. Now that the Black African idea is being replaced by the only black idea they are having trouble finding a culture.
2. To throw slavery into the face of white people. If the word was that offensive then they would have stopped using it. They stigmatized the word as a hold over from slavery and then adopted the word so they can forcibly remind white people that they still owe black people for putting them into slavery.

Blacks wonder why they are so put down by the whites and the rebel against it. When it is that act of rebellion that scares whites so they are prejudiced against blacks.

I served a hitch in the US Army and met a lot of blacks; most of them were in positions over me. I had only met a few blacks before that and it was a bit of a culture shock for me. But, I adapted and learned to only judge people on their actions not on the color of their skin or their religion. I strive to keep that attitude every day.

Yet, I would still fear going down a dark alley with a black man, more than I would with a white man. I have been homeless and I am currently disabled so I have seen a lot of the underbelly of society (and I have been a part of it). Along the way I have seen bad black people and bad white people, I have also seen good people of both races. I can even say that I saw more white people than blacks, yet I still fear them. He only ones I don't fear are those who have embraced the white culture like Barach Obama. He is very much a black man and I am sure he has met with the prejudices given to all black men, but there is no doubt that he is more at home in a white upper class neighborhood. It is not an insult it is a comment that blacks have it so hard that they must try to adopt the white culture to succeed.

This problem is a complex one and hard to simplify, but the faults that create it run on both sides and when blacks use the "N" word they are only working to open the divide.

If anyone is insulted by this essay then I apologize, however they are just proving my point that many blacks want to keep the divide between themselves and other races open. They still feel that the biggest thing they have going for them is this racial divide and the debt of slavery.

I was told that the word without the er on the end is suppose to mean some sort of empowerment. I am not sure but I know I don't use the word and don't like to be called it either. It is an ignorant term any way it is used in my opinion.

lol! you crack me up! I have been given to declare some thing. the place you from? have you ever lived in a ghetto?A rattling countrr city with 3 black poeple isn't ghetto. you will desire to be youthful. ghetto rather is an evolution. this is a place the place in particular blacks and hispanics have been placed to stay... this is poverty! Cages (homes) placed good next to one yet another to maintain us residing generations after generations in those holes. Ghettoes are in particular around massive cities... no longer around a farm with ten cows. The undesirable are like pastime in a mastercard. an rather small pastime yet on the tip of the day all of it provides as much as thousands and thousands. The greater undesirable poeple we've the righer the unrighteous get. Now you spot greater undesirable whites contained in the ghetto... in poverty. do no longer take it very own. they continually say that to a shade or hispanic tha tis no longer from the ghetto... be your self

The question should be why do people always say n***a. I live in NYC and everyone uses it. Asian to Asian, Black to Black, White to White, Asian to White, Black to White, White to Black and every other combination possible. I have no idea why people would want to say it and why people still do. It's so offensive. Then again, I guess it's "cool" and they are so use to saying it.

why do uptight white people always say 'african-americans' when they're afraid they're asking something offensive? this is a silly question anyway. you should of already known the answer. same reason it's in for black people to drive cadillacs.

empowerment tool i don't think so do you ever listen to the names blacks call one another and the only reason they say Ni...gga and not Ni...gger is they don't pronounce the r at the end of anything when they talk nothing to do with it meaning someting else

You don't know me, therefore you have no idea what I do in my daily life. When white people calls someone a "niqqer" do they really mean "friend", I doubt it.
