I would suggest Sub Zero. You're looking at probably one of the most expensive refrigerators in Sub Zero, probably around $2500 for a 23 cu. ft. refrigerator BUT if you have a problem with it even AFTER your manufacturers warranty expires, Sub Zero has been known to repair without charge. I have a Wolf gas cooktop which is also made by the same company and I had to have someone come out and adjust the flame and even though it was out of warranty, Sub Zero did not charge me for the repair call. You get quality AND a very extensive warranty.

My husband and I just purchased a fridge and had done a lot or research in the process. Whirlpool is your best option. Depending on what gadgets you want on your fridge, you'll pay about $700 for a nice one with freezer on top, no water in door, type of thing. We wanted a side-by-side with ice and water. The one we were looking at was about $1,100. We looked at the clearance items and found one just as nice for $800. It was just an older model. We bought ours from Best Buy. They have great people to talk to that know what they are talking about. They don't work off commission so it is low pressure. Best Buy is all about customer service, which is a big thing for me. They will also deliver it (free in some areas), hook it up and haul away your old one.

Bought a hotpoint in January, from Home Depot, got a rebate, as well as a rebate on the delivery, they set it up, and it has the ice and water through the door, and only cost around $890usd, after taxes.

High end...definitely Sub Zero...lots of choices and customization options. You can make it blend with your cabinets, have refridgerator drawers under counters...etc.
I work for a top architectural firm and this is THE fridge we spec.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY A KENMORE REFRIGERATOR FROM SEARS. MY DAUGHTER HAD ONE OF THE BEST WITH ICE MAKER IN THE DOOR, AND RIGHT AFTER THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY WAS UP, IT BROKE DOWN. WAS CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW ONE.

You talking like Wolf or SubZero? They run from $4500 up. Alas, my restaurant friends won't have them in their own homes.....they think these newer ones are junk. I don't know if they like Viking or Thermador or other brands better.
