My wife has so many double standards. It seems every things she does not want me to do, she does. It is always okay for her to do certain things but it appears to cause problems when I do them.

Stop living your life to your wife's standards, and start living to your own.
Stop worrying so much about pleasing her and avoiding conflict.
Try to be a good husband, the husband you think you should be, not the one she demands you be when she throws a fit.

I wouldn't cope with her double standards; I would point them out to her.

Seems to me she has control issues. Unless you can seriously talk together, she's going to continue to wield the ax.
