Their offense is sputtering, to say the least... Berkman is off to a HORRIBLE start... Chris Burke wasn't doing anything with the bat...and costing us a few runs out there in Center in the process.... Morgan Ensberg hasn't really been having good At-Bats, and generally they are leaving way too many on base... they left 18 in one game, 12 in another, and 13 in another... Carlos Lee left 6 on base in one game by himself... not a good sign.... BUT, good news, Hunter Pence has been called up. So, hopefully he can generate a little spark to the offense.... and the pitching has been pretty decent.... So, there are some upsides to this year's brand of Astros baseball... they just gotta mesh it all together and start hittin'.

And of course they can still make the playoffs... Remember the WORLD SERIES year? They started out 15-30.... In addition, the NL Central is a weak division... It's anybody's to win. I may eat this later... BUT I don't see the Brewers at the top all season long, the better teams will bubble up to the top....and I expect one of those teams to be the Astros.... They are a GREAT second half club.

They can't hit, team OBP is terrible, SLG ain't much better.

Berkman and Ensberg are the only regulars (>40 at-bats) with OBP over .349. Ausmus is, amazingly, at .338 but he'll wreck that soon enough.

Lane, Lee, and Biggio have the only SLG over .400.

Berkman's in a huge slump/power drought.

Just. Cannot. Hit. The. Ball.

Plus they need Clemens back, but Rocket keeps his own launch schedule....

Yes thier offense is TERRIBLE. I went to thier game last sunday and they left the bases loaded 3 or 4 times! thier just not scoring. Berkman hasnt been doing well, and thier pitching really hasnt been that great. Playoffs? not this season.
