I met a guy online and got married. We got 2 kids then I found out out of the blue from our quarrel that he is not divorce yet. He and his wife had an agreement on paper about their separation and the wife told her that she will handle the divorce proceedings but she did not. Now, I'm in a situation wherein I need help of what to do about it. They are both resident of US and I'm not.

You are not legally married, so you have no rights associated with being married. You have to wait until his divorce is final before you can be legally married. You could get in some legal trouble if you act like you don't know - fraud and that type of stuff. Try to get his marriage finalized and get re-married so you don't have to stress. You can have him check with the court to find out what to do, if he can afford it maybe hire an attorney to finish the divorce. Some people file for divorce, can't do the paperwork themselves, or can't afford to hire help. The court should have free help for helping him or her fill out the appropriate paperwork.

He shouldn't have married in the first place because he knows that those paperworks hasn't been brought to legal proceedings.
Your hubby could be charged of bigamy. Well you are the victim o don't be scared. Just make sure that you get a lawyer ASAP. Your marriage is void and might be asked to leave the country as soon as he gets convicted.
As early as now, find a job and apply for a working visa while your current visa is still valid so you don't get orders of deportation

Have him arrested for bigamy. It is illegal. You are not legally married, so you probably have an illegal green card.
In jail, he won't be able to pay child support, but he probably won't without a hassle anyway.
If you are legally in this country, go to a lawyer. Go to your church and talk to the minister.
If not, pack, since you will be leaving the country.
If he loves you , and you him, and you want to fix this up right. go to a lawyer immediately, and tell the whole truth. Then get re---married quick.
Good luck.

You are not legally married to this man, your marriage is void since he was not divorced when you married. You need to contact a lawyer, to be sure if he is divorced or not, she may be lying! Good Luck

If I were you I'd get some legal advice. If it was a proper wedding with certificate etc. he could be in big trouble. Its called Bigamy and illegal.

I don't know anything about immigration laws, but you should find out what your rights are and what should be done legally.

Legally ur marriage is void. When ur husband is not in a fighting mood, get him to agree to initiate divorce proceedings in his previous marriage.
