the mode i know about has to do with averages.

the mode gives you the number that has the most occurences of any number in a set of numbers.

so if in a class there are test scores of 90 67 80 77 65 90 34 77 66 90. the Mode is 90 becasue it occurs 3 times,more times than any other score.

the mode is related to mean which is found by adding up all the numbers and diving by the number of numbers and hte median which is the score that when the scores are ordered numerically, falls right in the middle at the 50 percentile.

The number that appears most in a list of numbers
eg in 5, 6, 4, 7, 3 , 2 , 7, 2, 7, 3
7 would be the 'mode' as it appears the most times

a list of numbers can have more than one mode
eg in 4, 5, 3, 2, 3, 5, 1
3 & 5 would be the 'mode' numbers a they both apear twice

Mode is the number that repeat the most. For example,

4, 10, 11, 3, 4, 2, 1, 0

now the mode in this is 4, because no other number repeated, but #4 did. Therefore, mode is the number that is repeated the most.

In statistical terms, when dealing with a set of data (for instance, the number of M&Ms in each bag you open), the mode is the data value that appears most frequently. There may be more than one mode for a given set of data.

For example, if your data is 1, 2, 3, 3, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, then 3 and 7 are the mode(s).

mode is a measure of central tendency like mean and median.

It's the easy one. Just look to see how which number occurs the most. That number is the mode. If no number occurs the most, then the mode doesn't exist or is null.

If you have numerous observations of some outcome, and divide them into intervals, the mode is the interval with the largest number of observations. A good example is the grades of your class in a test, where the intervals run to 60 to 70, 70-80 etc. You are counting the number of grades in each interval and the mode is the interval with the most grades. .

The "mode" is the number that occurs the most in a set of numbers.

Ex. :
{2,5,8,7,9,2,6,4,5,2,7,8,2,3,2,3,2}
The mode of this set of numbers is 2, because it occurs, or shows up, the most. GOOD LUCK! ;]
