A good weigh for a HS linebacker is about 190-200 pounds. For DE, about 220 pounds. Yet, I knew a guy who played LB in high school. He was a 165 pounds. He ended up being named all-state. He was quick, fast, and tough. When he nailed you, you would see stars. He hit like a ton of bricks.

How tall?? In Highschool you can be anywhere from 185lbs to 235lbs and play solid LB. The offensive linemen are not all that big so you should be able to shed them at that weight. As for D end anywhere from 205 to 275 will work depends on how tall you are and how fast you are. If you are short 6-1 or under you should stick with LB. Good Luck !!

Coming from a guy who played H.S. and College football at that position, it depends on alot of factors. I didn't get my growth spurt until my Senior year when I grew to 6'2" and I stayed in the weight room all summer long to bulk up 240 pounds.

As a Linebacker 200 to 225 pounds, yet as a Defensive End 230-240 would be nice, then again...it's all about if you can keep that speed. Anyone can't put on pounds, but you can't teach speed.

from experience i play strong side linebacker/right side in our school
i'm only a sophmore and i'm not that big enough yet. but its important your speed is up there and try to run at least a 4.8-6 and i think a good weight would be.. around the 200, but it needs to be muscle, fat wont get you anywhere. but yea just bulk up during offseason, but also dont forget to balance out though
the speed/size
linebacker is the most complete position in football next to running back so yea. good luck!
