Yep, try another gyn.

And try not to be upset. God does not intend everyone to have children.

My wife and I spent a fortune trying to conceive to no avail. Now we are in our 50's with no children, and nothing to hold us back once we retire.

And don't blow a gasket over the biological clock thing! Today, first children are coming later and later as more professional women chose to wait until they have made a big mark before starting a family. If you are 30 now, you have at least 10 years before you give up on conception.

Probably the best thing you can do is quit making such a big deal of trying to conceive. You and your husband should just enjoy each other and bang each other's brains out on a frequent basis. If parenthood is meant to be, it will happen.

Good Luck and God Bless.

A Relation of mine had that Problem and did not Conceive for 4 Years.Went to the Hospital to a Special Clinic for Sexual Problems Infertility ETC on Recommendation of Her Doctor. She was Examined found nothing wrong, Husband was Examined and was discovered had low Sperm Count. A small Operation was done on him and also on her to Improve her Fertility even though there was nothing wrong with Her. About some time later I think it was a Year was pronounced Pregnant. She had a Child a Boy, about 3 years later she had another Boy. They decided that was enough Children for them. The oldest is now 17 and the youngest is 14. I think youre Husband and you should discuss the situation with youre Gynaecologist again it might be a problem with Hubby. Good Luck.

Hi! I feel your pain! I'm also TTC for two years in december. I also have irregular periods. I thought I was pregnant last March, since, no period came. Coz this year it's kind of regular, it comes monthly january and february. It did came April 23rd and my OBGYN adviced me to have a transvaginal ultrasound to find out if there's something wrong. Trying to find out if I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, a case wherein you don't ovulate but have your periods. It's just that fertilization cannot happen naturally, you need medication or assistance like In-vitro maybe. So, i'm getting Transvaginal ultrasound sometime next week. I suggests you ask her if it's ok for you to get one too just to be pretty sure. Keep you updated about mine. We can become buddies for TTC.Hoping for baby next year 2008!

Sounds like endometriosis to me. Here is an article about it and some symptoms to see if they match what you have been feeling: http://health.yahoo.com/ency/healthwise/hw102998.

Unfortunately, seeing a gynecologist about infertility is like having a plumber wire your house. They may have some idea about your basic anatomy but they are not specially trained to recognize infertility or treat it.

You need a reproductive endocrinologist. You will get more info and insight out of one appointment with an RE than you will get out of a year's worth of appointments with a gyno.

If it is endometriosis, it may be tricky to treat, but it can be done. You will need to see a specialist to help you find the right line of treatment for you.

Good luck!

I tried to conceive for 5 years.....my doc also told me and my husband that everything looked ok and we should be able to conceive, but we didnt. I decided to try IUI and conceived the very first time.

First stop the stress, it effects.
Then get yourself one of those ovulation kits (they tell you when you ovulate it like pregnancy tester) and try them out, they really do work but please try to relax about getting pregnant. try it for 2 months if they dont work go for a second opinion.
Good Luck and God Bless

Truthfully, I'd get a second opinion from another OB/GYN
