That's normal. When I first moved up here, my phone would not ring once all day long, but as soon as I go into the bathroom, it would start ringing. This was happening so often, my kids and my mom were beginning to think I was lying about it. It did not matter what time of the day or night it was, it would happen. I got to the point where if somebody asked where I was, and why didn't I answer my phone, I would lie about it and say I was doing something else. If I got lonesome, and wished somebody would call me, I would just sit in the bathroom for a couple minutes, and the phone would ring.

Yeah.... um.... well... call them back and tell them you were:
-In the shower
-Washing dishes and your hands were dirty
-Preparing breakfast/lunch/dinner and your hands were dirty
-Outside getting something out of the car
-Just barely missed it
-Couldn't stop to answer the phone because what you were watching on TV was too intense to interupt (better have a back-up story as to what it is you were watching if they get interested and ask)
-You were in a hyper funky mood and tried to answer with your foot and it dropped and broke upon landing
If you decide to answer when on the can:
-Try not to make any noises
-Don't let them hear you flush the toilet
-Bathrooms are usually more echoey so it's just generally a bad place to have a call.. especially if people know your bathroom is echoey and they know they called your home phone number

Happens to me to, so I grab the cordless and let them know I'm pooping...then depending on how intense it is I either keep going talking or tell them i have to finish dropping my kids off

Maybe someone has a poop-radar on you and they know when you're about to drop a stinking load. You need to get a pooh-scrambler to scramble those signals.

Because there is this sensor that is embedded on your toilet seat that triggers itself whenever you sit down which makes the phone automatically ring...

if you have a cordless phone take it w/ you next time...no one needs to know what you're doing when they call...just be sure not to drop it in the toilet
