I am both. In situations where there is chaos and no appointed leader, I have a tendency to assume leadership in order to get things organized. However, if I join a group that has a good leader, I am capable of and very very content to follow.

I would have to say I was a follower but until I can fulfill my role as a good follower I could not take up the role as a leader. I do not think I can be a leader without being a good follower .
