My mom bought an embroidery machine and we are having trouble figuring out something.
She has a Futura Singer Design software disk, but she thought she could make her own designs, and these are premanufactured designs.
I tried and tried, and I have no idea how to import new ones, so if anyone is familiar with this program, let me know!
And if you know of any other softwares out there that you can install on Windows and design your own, let me know!
[ use a MAC, but most of these programs don't take MAC and Windows is pretty weird for me......]

From their website, it looks as though the Singer software is a basic layout and conversion software. There is a support link - I would try to get some help there first.
DigitizerPro is a software through Janome that lets you digitize designs. You can create your own designs from clip art, photos, or from scratch. It is also a conversion software (change to the format your machine takes). The software allows for a direct link to your machine, too, so transfering designs is easy. I have an older version, Digitizer 10000. I love it!
I know Bernina and Viking both have softwares available, though I have not worked with those. Most manufacturers have a software of somekind that can do at least basic digitizing. These can all be expensive, so take your time and take notes and compare before buying.

Most machines do have the ability to edit designs or modify elements to make your own version of the design. The first thing I would check on the premanufactured designs software is the file type. Different machines read different files. Brother, Babylock, some Bernina, White, and Simplicity machines read .PES files. You can find converters on the web, some for free and some for a price.

I do not believe that this machine can be supported by Mac. My daughter has a Mac that is also windows compatible not sure if yours is.

Madeira Rayon is helpful, i take advantage of all of it the time and no topics! i imagine the element is with embroidery threads cost smart, isn't to get the most inexpensive good purchase bin threads (they are less costly for a reason). You do get what you pay for- there are some solid fairly priced threads round! I tell human beings to not bypass out and purchase a series of 30 threads right away. Get some suggestion, and purchase some reels and attempt it on the device. that way you'll comprehend if it fairly works on your liking, and then bypass out and purchase extra! you could blend manufacturers of threads, attempt to adhere to the only type like Rayon or polyester embroidery thread. Rayon is way nicer :) With the device you receives a reel of bobbin thread meant for that device, all the previous solutions are perfect, i will say that perchance stick with determining to purchase that similar thread even as it runs out because the bobbin case contained in the device is determined for that weight of bobbin thread for embroidery. that is not that expensive, and also you do get lots.

It's possible you need a seperate piece of hardware to digitize your own designs. Time to call the store and ask what's missing!

go to the singer shop and make them explain it, thats what they are there for.
