Endocrine glands are ductless glands, and they do produce hormones, which are signalling chemicals released into the blood stream and act on target cells. The major endocrine glands in humans include the hypothalamus, the pituitary, the thyroid and parathyroid glands, the pancreas, the adrenal glands, the gonads and the pineal gland.
