In my first marriage, on the one year anniversary, we had no money, and no where to go. So we ate the top tier of our frozen wedding cake, popped a bottle of cheap $ 3 wine (haha...I can laugh at this now...we're divorced), and said our I love yous and listened to music, and I guess you can guess what else. Supposedly, paper is the 1 year anniversary gift. I'd say suprise him wearing a paper dress, then tear it off right in front of him and say, "Happy Anniversary, Honey!" but...if you have guests, you might not wanna do that. However, you COULD rent a hotel for the night, have dinner, then go back, and do that! :)

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Don't let your husband off the hook with that weak response. It's both of your wedding anniversary. Make him help you decide...this is a red flag for later. He will eventually forget your anniversaries

My husband took me on a two week holiday all paid for to Turkey, it was fantastic, so dont let your husband off that easily. I would pospone doing something on your actual anniversary date until your guest has gone. Once you have time to yourselves you can do what ever you want

One of the most common questions spouses ask when confronting a marriage crisis is this: How can I save my marriage if my partner doesn't want to help find a solution? How do I succeed I am trying to save my marriage on my own? Learn here https://tr.im/dHbcQ
It is a typical enough story: one partner leaves, the other stays. One remains 'in love', the other is uncertain. Whatever it is that has caused a couple to be apart, the one person who remains bears the prospect, fear, doubt, desire, hope of saving his or her marriage' alone.

I agree with a massage together, and maybe get a room for the night, with a jacuzzi and just enjoy each other for the night with no one around because I know that having people in your home gets aggravating...

1st = paper.
Weave a paper thong and wear it for him during dinner served on paper plates.
If you can't weave a paper thong, do one of those cool samurai hats.
Then screw like hungry tigers.
