Well, my first 3 answers were all "Best Answers"- so it's been downhill ever since !
Do you have a specialist subject ?
The top answers people seem to have a combination of
1 a clear and easy to understand answer
2 a compliment to the asker
3 a bit of extra information/a relevant link (not wikidpedia-people hate that)
4 a friendly tone/manner
5 a witty riposte
Who cares about B.A's -some people give them just to take the P*ss out of you (as my 3rd answer!)
Oh and you can read up the person's previous Q/A and refer to them in your answer (though some people think you're "stalking" then.) Or , check their Avatar's name /character as it gives a clue as to "where they're coming from"
