Hope somebody can help me here. I moved in with my girlfriend 3 years ago. She was my high school sweetheart so I know she was the one for me. We had discussed our future several times before and the only thing that was missing was to get married. Last month I decided that it was time to set a date so I told her that we should go and pick up a ring and set a wedding date. She was so happy when we picked up a beutiful ring, but know she is alway complaining about how she never got a real proposal.

I did not know how important that moment was for gals so I really screwed up. She is wearing the ring now and we will get married later this year, but I feel so guilty, and I really want to make things right.

Any idea how I can fix this? I am not the most romantic guy in the world, c'mon girls, what can I do to fix this mess??

Thanks

The surprise is gone but you can still get this right. Is there a particular place that means a lot to her....like where you met or a romantic location you went to? That's a start. Otherwise, plan a surprise evening for her someplace special and go all out....dinner, champagne, and a gift. If you make it memorable enough, she should come around and be delighted you went to so much trouble.

Sometimes guys can never get it right no matter how hard they try... just ask my poor husband lol.

Your whole life is based on memories so she wants something she can remember, but you already sound like a fab partner anyway, so coming up with a romantic gesture should not be too hard.

We Like the basics. A romantic meal out, with a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates. Share a bottle of wine together. Tell her how much you love her. Its the oldest trick in the book, but I promise, it really does work.

Take her for a romantic meal and make her feel like the most special, and most beautiful women alive. Tell her its a belated engagment meal. enjoy!!

One night while sitting at a restaurant with my family my husband was holding my hand under the table. He kept playing with my ring and I never really thought anything of it. Out of nowhere he handed me a ring box. In front of everyone he asked if I would marry him. I opened the box and there was my engagement ring. He had swapped it for the ring I wore on that finger before I got my engagement ring. It went off without a hitch. I still wonder how he pulled it off, everyone that I loved got to see 'the proposal', and of course I accepted. I wish you all the luck in the world. I really hhope you get some great ideas from here.

This is so easy! Take her out to a romantic location this evening, get on your knee and ask her to marry you...please! Tell her how much you love her, that you want to spend the rest of your life with her...will she say yes? That is all it takes. Why are you making a mountain out of a molehill?

Since it wasn't a suprise you should do something really suprising! Ask her to marry you in front of a crowd, shout it from a roof top, go to a sports game and have it on the jumbo screen. Do it somewhere she would never expect it, and in front of everyone! Almost go out of her way to embarass her, just to get her off gaurd.

No, you didn't.......She will remember it always. This will be extra special I mean how many men ask the same woman twice to marry them and then keep their word......Get Brave my boy.

Invite her out for "fine dining" at a very "posh" establishment....after receiving your drinks and appetizer...get down on the floor one one knee and formally propose
