The City of Hope is a shelter in Dubai for abused women and children of all nationalities – and one of the few shelters in the Middle East. Run by Sharla Musabih, an American married to a UAE national.

It's necessary to file a case with the police coz women running the shelter only accept cases documented by the police.

What do you mean by: the lady escaped from the house? How long is that ago? Is she a housemaid? Most important thing: get police and her embassy envolved so she will not be reported absconded and get in additional trouble.

All the best and take care.

Sorry to hear this. I would suggest you to contact the police and lodge a complaint against this man. Since Dubai is admiring of the moral values and ensure the safety of the expatriates, I believe definitely your girlfriend will get justice. Doesn’t a matter whether she is Muslim or non-Muslim.

It would be better if you can manage to get the advice from a good lawyer. Meantime you can also contact the embassy or consulate of her country for better support and guidance on this regard.

All the best.

Report the case as soon as possible to your consulate. The consulate will assist and protect her.

We have a very supportive consulate in Dubai.
