As you can tell I am a girl, and I drive a RWD Mustang, and love driving in the snow, sometimes the deeper the better. I find you get to hone your driving skills and I love the challenge of getting unstuck, if I end up stuck someplace in the snow spinning my wheels helplessly. Of course being female has its advantages at times because you get a lot of nice guys willing to help you out, but then there are some who love to see us stuck, being the female in distress.

I too sometimes find it exciting when I get stuck. I think the fear I have however is getting stuck while wearing heels and a skirt. I've taken two or three small falls while clearing snow from around my car when I was dressed up.

I think the answer is that for the most part women are smarter than men when it comes to danger. No offense intended.
I also love driving in the snow, I loved going fast, and driving in the snow. To me there was nothing more fun that sliding around corners in the ice and snow and feeling that back end kick around and controlling just how much slide I have.
Men, and the exceptional woman, don't care about the danger involved, focusing instead on the challenge and excitement. That's not really smart considering the fact that you don't get any financial reward for it, while crashing can have definite financial penalty.
So, I think it's 'cause normal woman are smarter. (and less fun)

I'm a girl also, but I don't share your fastination with getting stuck in the snow, lol, I'm sorry. But I really don't mind driving in it. I took drivers ed in the winter so I didn't even know what it was like to drive on regular roads for about 5 months. I prefer no snow, but I"m definitely not afraid of the snow. I'm glad you really like the experience though, lol. It's the little things like that that make waking up worth it.

I think alot of it has to do with men making women feel like they are bad drivers in the first place and then they make them feel like they can't do it. I had an ex that wouldn't let me even try in my own car. And yet I made it home one night driving on a solid sheet of ice and didn't wreck...So hmm. I don't think I am a bad driver. It's just being careful and not being stupid when you drive in those type of conditions. Men seem to be the ones that take crazy risks while driving.

Some might regard the dangers of getting stuck. Should the weather be bad, exposure to the elements will kill. That is not a maybe, it is a definite death due to exposure. If you are going to take chances, make sure it is someplace well populated and heavily traveled.

your car is one of the worst for driving in the snow, I'm surprised you don't get stuck every time, when I see someone stuck I generally stop to help, but its more fun if its a woman because I have a chivalry streak, like you say saving a damsel in distress is very satisfying

Have you ever thought that it would be waste of your time to get stuck?? what if one morning if you have to go to work and late because of the snow? thats not lovely at all.
Honestly, from what i see, if there are nice people around, no matter you are a male or female, they help you. And 90% of the people who helps are men, duh.
If there are people who likes to laugh, they laugh, regardless of ur gender. Dont be mistaken.
