directed and a small amount of brake fluid comes out around the piston, I don,t believe this is right, am I correct

Hi Frank, you are correct, you got a bad master cylinder. Take it back to the store thatsold it to you for exchange.

You are correct. the brake system should be a closed loop system, so if you are leaking around the piston, you will eventually be low on fluid and introduce air to the system. If i had to guess, i'd say you probably bought the remanufactured master cylinder from AutoZone. Cheap...but you get what you pay for. Spend a few extra bucks and get a better one

That is correct. You will need to rebuild it or replace it. That will leak down your firewall and onto your floorboard. You'll have spongy brakes and brake fluid also eats paint up with a quickness.

it's alright for a little air comes out there,and just install it and bleed from the right back,left back,and right front and left front.bleed all the air out of the system.

you are correct. take that unit back to the store and get one from NAPA if possible.
