Did you hear that first-hand from the manager or is it second-hand? I wouldn't do a thing until you hear it straight from your supervisor's mouth. No sense getting riled up over rumors.

I doubt if it would be a reason for constuctive dismisal. But if you did beat him up it would be grounds for.. Common Assult. Threatening behavoir. Actual Bodily Harm.. And a few others. Dont even go down that road. Better to leave than end up with a big fine or a criminal record.... If that is a manager then maybe you should write to the company owner. Managing director.. or who ever it belongs to. Make it plain that you are going to do all you can to make it public what his/her company is like to it`s workforce. There are a number of websites about bullying. There might be an answer there. Just dont be stupid and do what that idiot says..

For you or the manager.

sounds very unethical of the manager... and juvenile of him to even suggest.
