I have not taken it... yet... but someone who took it for awhile said she started having lucid dreaming before she awoke in the morning... (FYI: Lucid dreaming is when you know you're dreaming and can control the dream.)

I would try it if I thought it might help me with lucid dreaming...

Anyone?

I loved 5-HTP. I took it after having a very bad accident, and it helped make everything a lot easier to deal with and without absolutely any side effects (although I've heard it may constipate b/c it increases serotonin in your entire body).

I had the opposite effects on my dreams, though. I used to have very lucid dreams but then the HTP kicked in and I didn't remember dreaming at all when I awoke. Either way, it's great stuff. But speak with an alternative medicince specialist if you haven't already (i.e. at your local homeopathic store).

Yes. If i have a horrible dream then I will be in a horrible mood the rest of the day. You can only imagine how I get when I have those naughty dreams = D

It might make them more vivid but it is said to not make them as intense as what an FDA serotonin inhibitor would do. I myself have taken it to help me sleep at night, and I actually sleep better if anything.
