everyone thinks that they will be able to score but wont be able to stop anyone... they got adalius thomas and meriweather....they were 6th in D last year....better than the colts...i see them being in the top 5 this year...what do you think

I wouldnt say they have a great defense. Top 10 maybe, but never top 5. Adalius Thomas is a great addition, but they have always had good linebackers and other than that they didnt add any one player that will help dominate the defense. Their offensive rank wont change because Brady has always been able to throw to the wide receivers, what difference does it make how good they are. Everyone is talking about the Pats being Superbowl champions and they are the best in the AFC and in the NFL. I see them losing early in the playoffs.

I'm not sure of anyone that thinks the Patriots have a bad defense....they have a great all around team with no real holes except at Linebacker at the moment...and I wouldn't call that a hole...I'd call that a scuff mark. If the Patriots don't win the Super Bowl, I'm going to laugh so hard at them...but I fear I wont be laughing at them. Brady -Stallworth -Welker -Moss - Maroney -Watson on offense ...point machine...the defense got help with Adalius Thomas and Brandon Merriweather onto the talent they already had last season, which was great in it's own right.
Bottom line: Pats should have a top 10 offense and defense next year...

U r smart in bringing this up cuz they set a team record for fewest points allowed and had some injuries to boot. All eyes are on their offense right now cuz of all the off-season acquisitions but keep the D in mind as it will keep the scores down for the opponent. I am looking forward to the season.
