I used to get that same reaction. It's probably the look on your face, or more correctly your blank expression (it was with me). You appear to them to have wandered off mentally and they wonder if there's something wrong with you.

Maybe they just want to know what your thinking and what your about to say and are looking at you and giving their full attention. I believe it's very polite to look at someone directly when they are speaking, looking them in the eye and showing them respect. Maybe you are just that interesting to listen to, or maybe your expression is showing something your not saying, Peace.

It's most likely your expression. I think a lot too and when I am thinking of something that makes me angry Ive noticed that I frown and when I am thinking of something happy I smile and so on and so on. My parents have also pointed this out to me. Don't worry about it:)

It must be the expression on your face. Have you ever checked yourself in the mirror when you are "thinking something in your head"?

i think its because of the expression on your face. many people smile when they think about something happy and some of them look sad when they think about a probleme and and and.....

Maybe you are mumbling to yourself, and they can hear you.

Or perhaps you are subconsciously making faces at them without you realizing it.

Next time it happens, ask the person what made him ask you that question (I.E.: "Is something wrong?"), and see what he says.

you probably make faces when you are thinking and don't realize it or you seem to be staring at other people when you are "daydreaming"

Is your expression anything like your avatar? If so, that may be why. ;o)
