It just means that we are not always satisfied with what we have. We are envious of what others have. It is like "Keeping Up with the Jones'". If they get a new car , we want one too only bigger and better. Things look better on the other side but once we go there we will inevitably realize it was best at home. There is no place like home.

The saying is the grass isn't always greener on the other side and just like most quotes they are metaphorical. This one for example, is you have a nice family and yet you want to up and leave to NYC and never turn back to be a star. You might end up familyless and have no money and loney or you could be successful. There's a risk, you should just be happy with what you have. That's what that means.

Well, the grass is always greener on the other side of the country....
For example, the grass in North Carolina is SOOO much greener than in Maine.
This means that they get more rain.

i think that when you look younger it's very nice because later when you are in the 30s you will look like 20 year old. and that very useful especially in women because the older you get you can still be attractive. so it's an advantage. i said this beaucause i know some women tried to have children at the right age, and sometimes that's avoided by whatever reason, but as long as you look young i think it is good for you. the only think a woman should not look young is from her body, a woman should always develop her physical appearance.

If the grass is greener on the other side it means they have better manure than you do.

"Paradise City" - Guns n Roses
"Take me down to paradise city, where the grass is green, and the girls are pretty" - sorry I felt like singing that part when I read your question.
