I believe it does! I wouldn't say that I'm suprised though, Mom taught me, you get more with honey than vinegar so, it's always been a part of who I am. Besides, it's rude not to say 'please' & 'thank you'!

Yes,as a matter of fact I am...I was raised to always say Please, and Thank you....In my opinion it doesn't make a difference today..because I find allot of people to be rude, and arrogant...without morals, and values, most of the time they don't appreciate a good honest person...they only take advantage of those of us that try,and do the right thing! Thank you...I needed to get that off of my chest. It might not be the answer you are looking for,but at least I got that out of my system!

It does indeed Billy Boy. It amazes me how courtesy and just plain good manners take a back seat to expediency.
I live my life trying to adhere to the laws of civility. Even when provoked beyond reason, they hold me in good stead.
It amazes me how much gets done when you rely on good manners and civil pleasantries. People respond much more positively when they aren't intimidated into action.
Great question! .....and thank you!

Actually no. And only because I started out with my first job in customer service. I learned then how much nicer I was to those who were nice to me. Now I return the favor ten fold.

I have always said please and thank -you. In my opinion some of the kids nowadays just forget or don't have any manners-It is always nice when someone is polite-always made my day and the other person that I was polite too.

I think so. People visibly brighten sometimes because they hear it so rarely. I try to always remember.

I can tell you first hand stories of how please and thank you will gain you better treatment. When my brother turns on the polite and thankful treatment....sales reps trip over each other to give us stuff.
