I've seen a crash. I just kept driving because you don't actually take in what you've seen for a couple of seconds. You only really rubberneck if you're passing after the event I think.

If it happens in front of me I am going to get out and help. I don't like to look. If I can't help I will just keep on going. Funny, I was in a bad wreck once. Everyone just looked, no one got out. Most people want to see the horrors of it. That is truely sad. Especially those on the interest where the cars in front of you actually stop so they can get a better look. I can't believe people do that.

I have yet to hear one. I honestly do wait to hear the metallic crunch after the screech of brakes, as twisted as that seems. I just want to hear it. And when I do I will go out to see how bad it is so I can decide whether or not I need to call an ambulance.

Your natural reaction in a "car smash" situation is not to know what to do. Your in a form of shock and have been taken out of your comfort zone.

People become very passive in these situations, if some one reacts every one tends to, If no one reacts, hardly any one seems to.

how to react in a crisis situation has to be learnt much like anything in life. If you haven't experience a situation like it before your more than likely just gonna follow blind.

Help but I think its human nature to look.I don't stop if the police have already arrived or lots of people are already helping.

if there is no one helping i will go to help...

if there are medics/police already helping...i get the hell out of there as quick as i can to free up the space (cause there is always going to be a bunch of cars backing up traffic cause they have to "see" what happened)
