I have given a great deal of work to my company, and they have given nothing back in terms of raises or promotions the bstards.
So I now want to get my own back.
Has anyone got any crafty tricks to get days off like sick leave or training leave, or get away with doing no work or other benefits

Yes they pay me and no I have not displayed an ugly attitude.
I feel that I have worked harder than most of the others but that they are chummy with each other and the bosses reward this at my expense.

I know you don't want to hear this but wouldn't it be better for you mentally just to move on to the next job? You're going to create a lot more bitterness within yourself if you work so hard trying to get away with something like this. Also, it could negatively effect your future. Just move on.

Get yourself classified as 'Disabled' / 'Long Term Sick' = then they can't touch you..

One colleague went off with 'Stress', got the Doctor to agree it was caused by work and started a claim ... Company paid him off with about 6 months Salary to make him go away.

Then there was the chap who had a 'nervous breakdown' (we found out later he had one at the last place he worked too)

Another guy got a bad back (for real = he tried to lift the engine out of his car and it crushed a disc) ... anyway, after 3 years off work (getting sick pay) they finally retired him on 2/3rds Salary ...

Then there was the guy with RSI (of course that's no longer 'flavour of the month' these days, so I doubt you will be able to convince your Doctor you are Disabled like he did ..) - he essentially sat around doing nothing but answer the phone for a couple of years since he could no longer use a mouse/keyboard .. and this in a SOFTWARE Company !

The one that really takes the biscuit is a female employee who decided she had PMT .. every month she took a week or so off and half the rest of the time didn't bother to turn up before 11am ... this has been going on for 5 years and she STILL "works" for the Company ...

Oh - almost forgot - one guy turned out to be schizophrenic & 'forgot' to mention at his interview and was OK so long as he took his pills ... problem was, Beer negated the effects - and on every trip to Europe he would get totally p*ssed before standing up in front of potential customers to do his Sales pitch ... he got fired when we lost a major account and the subsequent investigation turned up his little 'problem'

Hey - and then there were the two guys in Accounts who sold/gave all our Customer details (prices, contracts, the lot !) to the compitition ...

the best time to look for another job is while still employed, im sure you know this. arselicks will allways get the breaks the real workers such as yourself will be shat on from a great height. watch out for the arselicks and stay mute say nothing. hit the boss for a raise, if you get " i'll have to see the board blah blah blah" your being bullshitted jump ship but make sure you have another job beforehand. if you want to screw them while still there if your in an office environment feign RSI or blurred vision or headache from the drone of the lights and flicker of the monitors. in a warehouse/ labouring/retail environment feign a burning sensation in either shoulder or sore ribs see a doc and get a sick note. if your on ssp do homers while on the sick, if on full sick pay look for other full time jobs and reap the weekly bank lodgement.

i dont know how good or bad this is but it may be a start

btw the reason that they are all 'chummy' is because they know that they need to butt-kiss to get to the top. success is all about connections, not merit. if you want to get to the top, make friends with work colleagues, and start doing some brown-nosing. everyone has to do it i'm afraid
